My name is Juliana Starkman. I have been freelancing as a translator, proofreader and editor for many years, in areas ranging from the social sciences (development, human rights, environment, ethnology, cultural and more) to the arts and medicine. I hold a Ph.D. in Comparative Literature and have written and lectured myself, which helped me develop a good eye for text critique and the need to take nuance and context into account when working with a text.
