A brief introduction about myself.
I am a professional Japanese-to-English technical translator and editor with many years of experience, both in Japan and the UK.
In addition to studying Japanese, I also studied archaeology at Birkbeck College, at the University of London, and continue to work on academic papers and articles. I was also one of the organizers of IJET-17, the International Japanese English Translation Conference held at the Kobe International Conference Center in June 2006.
As a former archaeology student, I find living in Nara very exciting. Not only do we have the continuing excavations at Heijo Palace, but there are several large kofun (tumuli or burial mounds) near our house. I have also started my own sub-branch for people interested in, or studying ancient Japan. If you are interested in joining, send a message asking to join and I will send you an invitation.
