Tara has worked in a variety of editing and production roles, including editing publications for financial research institutions, online editing companies, academic publications for universities, freelance editing for magazines, authors and websites, and of course Tara Mathey Editing Services.

Tara specialises in editing fiction and non-fiction manuscripts, as well as academic writing for both university coursework and publication. Tara has edited a body of work in a variety of genres and fields of enquiry, published in the UK, USA, Japan, Australia, as well as online via e-books.

Tara’s developmental editing service involves working closely with authors to carry ideas and concepts through the development process to final completion. Tara also has extensive experience in honing completed manuscripts into finished products that are polished and ready for publication.

Tara supports IPEd in its endeavours to advance the profession of editing. Tara is now an Accredited Editor, having completed the inaugural IPEd Editors’ Accreditation Exam in October 2008. This means Tara’s editing work has been stringently peer-reviewed by IPEd’s Accreditation Board, comprising a group of highly experienced and competent professional editors from academic and publishing fields.

Tara is also working with universities to provide editing services to ESL/international students to express their ideas and research in a clear, academic manner, enhancing their learning experience.
